Remove "This message has been checked by ESVA and is believed to be clean" footer

There are many postings on the web that asking how to remove "This message has been checked by ESVA and is believed to be clean." footer at the bottom of the email. I strongly suggest you keep the this footer as credits and respect should be given to the ESVA author. However, if you cannot convince your boss to keep the footer, here is the solution to remove it.

Instead of disable the services, we just to play a little trick here.

Step 1. Login into ESVA console

Step 2. Edit file /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.out.html

vim /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.out.html

Step 3. Remove the  following lines

-- This message has been checked by ESVA and is believed to be clean.

Step 4. Save it

:wq

Step 5. Modify /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.out.txt

Repeat step 1 to  Step 5 for /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.out.txt

Repeat step 1 to  Step 5 for /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.in.txt

Repeat step 1 to  Step 5 for /etc/MailScanner/reports/en/inline.sig.in.html
