Vi Editor - Command and Operation Mode

Vi Editor also known as  Visual Editor, has 2 operation mode, there are:-

• command mode

• text mode

Command mode

• Command mode enable user interact vi application. Some of the most commonly used operation in command mode operation are save, copy, search, replace and quit.

• Switch from text mode to command mode by using ESC key

Text mode

• Text mode enable user to input text content.

• Switch from command mode to text mode by using pressing "i"  button
