Redhat and CentOS Linux P2V virtualization & consolidation- restore Clonezilla image into VMWare (Part 2)
Step1: Boot from Clonezilla
Select "Clonezilla Live (Default settings, VGA
1024x768)" or if your monitor does not support 1024x768, please select
"Other modes of Conzilla live"
The screen capture shows the startup process of Clonezilla
Step2 : Select language
Accept the default setting and press <OK> for next page.
Step3: Keymap Selection
Accept the default setting and press <OK> for next page.
Step4: Select Clonezilla Operation Mode
Navigate to Start_Clonezilla and hit <OK>
Step5: Select the Clonezilla Image directory
Here, we are choosing the location of Clonezilla image directory. In my senario, l have NFS server hosting all my clone images. Navigate to "nfs_server". Hit <OK> to continue.
Step6: Configure the Clonezilla network
In my case, I have DHCP server installed. I will choose dhcp and hit <OK>
Step7: Configuring NFS server
Since we are using NFS, we are specifying the NFS server address here.
Step7: Specify the NFS version
Here, we are specifying the version of NFS service we are using. If you do not know which version, just accept NFS v2, V3.
Step8: Specify the NFS mount point
This is NFS directory that you put your Clonezilla images.
The screenshot above shows the mount point of NFS to local Clonzilla volume /home/partimag
Step9: Specify the Clonezilla Operation Mode

Here, we are selecting "restoreparts". This will restore an image to local partition of VMWare that we created at part 1.
Step11: Select the image to be restored.
Select the image you want to restore. Here, we only have one image, just highlight the image and hit <OK>
Step12: Select local restore partitions
Since our image contain 2 partitions, we are going to restore both of the partition together. Navigate to both partititon and hit spacebar, you will notice both selection now are [*]. Hit <OK> to proceed.
The screen capture above shows the process of image to partition restoration. You will be asked for confirmation during the restore process. Simply ask YES to proceed. If there is any error, you be informed during the process
Depends of your size of images and used space, you restore process might take few minutes to hours. The screen capture above shows the restore process if completed. press 0 or 1 to reboot your system.
